How it works. Choose your industry and size, enter a few figures from your latest accounts, and see where each one sits against UK companies in the same industry and size band. Everything is worked out in your browser. Figures you have already entered in our other free tools are filled in for you.
Peers are UK companies in the same SIC 2007 section and employee band, from the latest complete year of our data (year ends in 2024), with a minimum number of companies reporting each line. A position is a percentile rank: "higher than 70% of peers" means 70 in 100 peers sit below you. For measures where a lower figure is usually the stronger one (liabilities and short-term share of liabilities, trade debtors, late filing), the position is turned round, so that further right is always the stronger position. The bar runs from the 10th to the 90th percentile. Profit and margin lines compare you with companies that publish a profit and loss account, which is a minority of small companies, so read them with that in mind. A position is not a forecast, a credit score or a view on any company. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Analysis: Gregory Analytics. Methodology
